We’re looking for creative writing and art from Ivy Tech students, staff, faculty, and alumni! All campuses are invited to submit. It’s important to us that the magazine represents the full college, so please consider submitting your work as soon as possible.
Our deadline is December 1, 2022.
Click Submissions at the top of the page to submit your work. We look forward to seeing it!
April is National Poetry Month, and the librarians on campus have done a wonderful display, featuring root and branch and a number of Ivy Tech-Bloomington poets. The library has always been a great supporter of the magazine, and we thank them for this acknowledgement.
We’re also grateful to see a display promoting “Books Some People Don’t Want You to Read” – Carol, Ellie, Matt, and MacKenzie, you are the best!
The submissions deadline has been extended until midnight on December 15, 2021.
If you are a current or past Ivy Tech Community College student, staff, or faculty member from any campus, please consider submitting your creative writing or art.
It feels like forever since we were on campus together, and while things aren’t quite back to normal yet, we’re all looking forward to seeing you around the hallways.
Fall semester also kicks off our search for editors and our last push for submissions for our next of root and branch. Here’s some info about submitting your work:
When you’re ready to submit your writing and/or art, go to our Submissions page.
Congratulations to all the winners and thank you to the Joan Olcott Library for reminding us of the crucial role the creative arts has played in helping us get through this time of uncertainty.
