Ivy Tech Day 2024
Tuesday, April 23, 2024 is Ivy Tech Day! We’re asking for donations to the English Program to support Root and Branch magazine, so we can keep giving student editors scholarships and the whole Ivy Tech community a place to share their voices through their writing and art.
TEDX Talk by Root and Branch Editor
One of our Volume XIV editors BJ Yoho will be participating in the TEDxBloomington Sustain(Ability) event later this month. It takes place Thursday, March 30, 2023 from 6:30-8:30 pm in the Monroe County Public Library Auditorium.

2022 Deadline Extended Until Midnight December 17
To have your work considered for Volume XVI, please make sure to submit your work no later than midnight on December 17.
Please encourage others to submit – we’re looking for all types of creative writing and art. Right now we’re particularly low on art, so if you know an artist, please pass on our information.

April is National Poetry Month, and the librarians on campus have done a wonderful display, featuring root and branch and a number of Ivy Tech-Bloomington poets. The library has always been a great supporter of the magazine, and we thank them for this acknowledgement.
We’re also grateful to see a display promoting “Books Some People Don’t Want You to Read” – Carol, Ellie, Matt, and MacKenzie, you are the best!
